REBECCA HAWKINS
celebrating human stories of strength & freedom
Sculpture
Increasingly through her sculpture, Rebecca is working on projects that highlight humanitarian issues which celebrate the strength of the human spirit, and the importance of freedom to thrive. Time spent shadowing Circus Kathmandu in Nepal has given her the inspiration for a collection of sculptures that she is working on in-between commissions to highlight and support their anti-trafficking awareness campaigns.
A love of organic curves teamed with a passion for technical skill give her sculptures a sense of elegance and movement while weaving in storytelling through conceptual symbolism in sculptures that range from small to life-size, set in houses to gardens, to public squares.
Rebecca works in clay, wax, bronze and bronze resin, mild and stainless steel and copper.
